A little before and after here… Went darker but kept some highlights so she didn’t feel too dark after being so blonde for so long.

This picture on the left is WHY I learned to do hair. Clearly my mother did not help. Love you mom 🥰Can’t blame her. She had perfect straight hair. She had no clue what to do with curls. One being don’t brush curls as seen above. 😆
I thank God every day for giving me this type of hair even though I didn’t like it not one bit. I learned how to do mine. In time many many others.
When I look at this picture I’m reminded that learned a lot, as most have. I used to seek validation from people that were not valid for me or my life. I was very emotional, awkward and insecure. I am still very awkward and insecure with many things( hair is not one of them) . If you don’t like me chances are you really don’t know me. Growing up, kids were cruel and mean they still are. I had my fair share of being bullied. I was an easy target. Teach your kids to be nice. My daughter goes through it in her school, she’s 7 and it’s just the beginning. 💔 I tell her it doesn’t get better but you will get better and stronger, trust the molding process.
I’ve been doing hair for almost 18 years now. I’m grateful I get to make people feel pretty. It’s a wonderful feeling. I hope for everyone to leave my chair with more confidence to take on the world. Thank you to all my fabulous clients and of course to the little girl with frizzy hair who never gave up.
