What do you use your vision for?

Think about your daily life.

Your phone
Your home
Your surroundings
Recognizing faces
Moving safely

Now imagine doing those same things with changes in your vision.

This is why Bright Braille exists.

We are building a space for education, support, and accessibility so people can continue living independently as life changes.

If you’ve been following what we’re building, stay connected.

If you know someone who needs this information, share it.

Because awareness is where it starts.

What is low vision?

It’s not just blindness.

Low vision is a spectrum. It can mean blurred vision, loss of central or peripheral vision, difficulty seeing in low light, or vision that cannot be fully corrected with glasses.

Two people with low vision may see completely differently.

That’s why understanding your own vision is so important.

At Bright Braille, we help people understand what they are experiencing and connect them with resources, tools, and support.

Because no one should feel confused or alone when their vision starts to change.

Pay attention to what your eyes are telling you.

Sometimes we brush things off that we shouldn’t.

If you notice things like:

Bumping into objects
Trouble seeing at night
Light sensitivity
Blurry or hazy vision
Floaters or spots
Double vision

These are signs worth paying attention to.

Changes in vision do not always happen all at once. They can be gradual.

At Bright Braille, we encourage people to listen to their bodies, ask questions, and take their vision seriously.

The sooner you understand what’s happening, the more options you have.

Let’s talk about your phone for a minute.

Most people are walking around with accessibility tools already built into their device and don’t even know it.

If your eyes feel tired, strained, or sensitive, try this:

Increase your text size
Turn on dark mode
Lower your brightness
Use screen zoom or magnifier

These small changes can make reading, texting, and scrolling a lot easier on your eyes.

At Bright Braille, we help people learn how to use the tools they already have so they can stay independent and connected.

Sometimes it’s not about getting new technology. It’s about learning how to use what’s already in your hand.
