I aspire to do “beauty” stuffs from a place of love, caring and acceptance. It has been a challenging journey to untangle my motivations for how I choose to outwardly present myself to others. There’s some very ugly self loathing mixed in with some beautiful artistic expression. But I don’t want spend anymore of my life actively judging and disliking myself, because the truth is it makes me deeply unhappy. I want to enjoy whatever time I have left. That means doing hair and makeup and clothes and all the things, because it’s a creative process that brings me so much joy. So, I strive to do these things from a place of love for myself. It’s not easy, but I’m worth it. 😘

Please don’t buy into the illusion of social media, etc. Something I’ve learned from being a hairstylist is that life gets messy for everyone. You TRULY cannot know what’s going on with people by looking at the curated versions of ourselves. So, please just don’t. You’re amazing and life is crazy. You can have great hair, though, no matter how fu**ed up everything else may be. Please love on yourself. ❤️
