Seeking perfection comes from a desire to avoid judgment. This is something I learned from listening to a talk by . A few days before this photo was taken, I fell off a moped while in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Under my skirt wrap is a swollen, bloody knee and on the other side of my left arm is a bloody scrape. But that's not "cute" for the gram, so I figured out how to hide it. We want everything to look perfect for social media so we try to hide the "flaws" or we avoid posting what isn't perfect enough. This can apply to how we approach things in our lives.

If I waited for things to be perfect, I wouldn't have gone to Thailand. I wouldn't have opened my own salon suite. I wouldn't have pursued a full time career in hair. I wouldn't have gone to cosmetology school. We can't wait on perfect because it doesn't exist.

Here's to 2020, a year of beautiful imperfections and going for what you want right now. Thank you for support in making 2019 an amazing year. I will continue to strive for being my best self and growing this business in 2020 and beyond.

What I love about these transformations is that I get to show clients the potential of their own hair. No extensions. No flexi rods. No twist outs. I don't have an issue with those styling options. But there is something magical, yet simple about seeing the beauty of your hair unaltered.
