Thank you for the texts, calls, messages, patience, prayers, and support during this crazy little adventure. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate every single one of you.

While we were closed, we didn’t just sit around—we made some BIG improvements!

✨ Added an additional 9-minute Hybrid Stand-Up Bed (which may or may not have been responsible for all our electrical issues 😂)

✨ Installed a new ventilation system to help our tanning beds and bulbs operate more efficiently while keeping YOU cooler and more comfortable during your sessions.

✨ Installed a new exhaust system in our Artist Spray Tan Room.

✨ Had all A/C units serviced and maintained.

✨ Put brand-new bulbs in BOTH of our 9-minute Hybrid Stand-Up Beds.

✨ I was even able to give Theresa a much-needed and well-deserved break! ❤️

And on a personal note, I was also able to recover from pneumonia from the comfort of home, so there was a silver lining in all of this.

‼️I’ve recently heard some rumors circulating that The Cove Tanning Salon is not reopening due to a failed Health Department inspection. I want to clear up any confusion and provide the facts.

The Health Department did NOT shut down our salon, nor are we closing our doors. During an inspection, several tanning rooms exceeded the allowable temperature by a very small margin (101° when the maximum permitted temperature is 100°). As a result, those rooms could not be approved until the issue was corrected.

Since then, I have invested thousands of dollars into a new ventilation system and tens of thousands more into electrical upgrades and improvements throughout the salon. We have been working tirelessly with technicians, electricians, and equipment specialists to ensure everything is operating safely and properly.

The final electrical repairs are currently being completed, and as soon as that work is finished, we will reopen.

I appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and understanding during this process. The Cove is not going anywhere. We are committed to reopening as quickly as possible and providing an even better experience for our customers.

As soon as I have an official reopening date, I will share it immediately.

💙 Salon Update 💙

We finally have some good news!

After extensive troubleshooting, we have identified the electrical issue affecting the salon and now have a plan in place to correct it. We are currently waiting on parts and installation to complete the repairs.

While we don’t have an exact reopening date just yet, we are much closer than we were a week ago and are making steady progress. Our priority is making sure everything is repaired properly and operating safely before we reopen.

As soon as we have a confirmed opening date, we will post it immediately on social media, update our voicemail, and send out a text message to our customers.

We know this has been a long and frustrating process, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support. Your kind messages, calls, and encouragement have meant so much to us.

✨ Salon Update ✨

We wanted to let everyone know that today we are running a detailed analysis of our electrical system in an effort to identify the root cause of the issues we’ve been experiencing. Our goal is to make sure everything is operating safely and correctly before reopening.

We are hopeful that today’s testing will provide the answers we need so we can move forward with the necessary repairs and get back to doing what we love—serving our amazing customers.

📢 Important Update from The Cove Tanning Salon

Unfortunately, we will not be reopening tomorrow as we had hoped. Due to technicians not showing up as scheduled and not yet passing our required health department inspection, we need a little more time before we can safely reopen our doors.

Please know we are working tirelessly to complete everything necessary and get back open as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as we have a confirmed reopening date.

Also, please do not rely on Google for our business hours during this closure. Google does not allow real-time hour changes and must approve any updates, so we are not using that feature to communicate reopening information.

The moment we know our reopening date, we will send a text message update to all customers that opt-in to our messaging service and post it on our social media pages. You may also call 904-826-1414 for any updates as well.

We are making great progress on our repairs and inspections and are hopeful to reopen on Wednesday. We are still coordinating with technicians and completing the final items needed to ensure all equipment is operating safely and properly.
