I’m often asked why I chose to name my business Sandstone Image. Coming to the name was a journey.

My childhood was unique; I was one of 300 people that lived under the towering sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park.
Millions of visitors from all over the world would flock to our little town to see these spectacular red mountains.
I knew it was special, but I couldn’t and didn’t comprehend just how much until I was years older.

I was 22 and had just arrived in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
As I met my new companion and drove to the area of the city we would be serving, I choked back tears.

While the sky was vast, the land was flat and desolate. That was the first time I ever thought of sandstone as beautiful and I was desperately homesick for it. -Continued in comments
