Yesterday I hosted a Memorial Service with the help of Terri F it was a beautiful success. Although there was not a strong turnout, there was a strong feeling of love and support from those that did attend. I want to give a shout out and thank you from my heart for Cemarr and Jennifer who spoke so eloquently about this movement, their life and how necessary having this memorial service is. I decided to do this memorial service because it has been done every year as a tradition of Breaking Free, since the 90s. This year they decided not to do it. It is important that our survivors, advocates, and whoever else gives a damn about this issue remembers the women and children who have died while in this life. This is one of the reasons why we do this work, being bought and sold for many leads to death. Being used in the s*x trade is not a job like any other job, it is not s*x work, it is violence against women and children and even some men.

It was my pleasure to meet up with some of the women and men that worked with me at Breaking Free and others who came in after.
