all through junior high. In the 10th grade, I was offered a career opportunity to go to college for cosmetology through the high school. I proudly accepted, not really knowing until later, that it was my passion and my way of expression. Paul College. I graduated from high school and college at the same time, in 2001. My first job was at Sally Beauty Supply. My second job was for Great Clips, where I started off as a receptionist when I was also in cosmetology school. I was also employed at Ultimate Looks as an part-time assistant. Once I graduated, I moved up from receptionist to stylist, and from assistant to having my own chair. In 2003, I picked up another position at Cost Cutters. All three salons were in the Midway area in St. Paul. In 2005, I began instructing at a high class beauty and massage school, where I stayed for a year and half. For the last three years, I have been working at Head To Toe / Couture Hair in St. Paul, where I also currently reside. You can also catch me on the west coast once a month at Divas, which is located in Sacramento, California. Doing hair is to me like painting a picture is for an artist. That's what makes me an exceptional beautician and hair artist. What gives me my drive is the enjoyment of making people feel good and bringing out the best them. I enjoy being able to associate with people from a lot of different cultural backgrounds through weddings and different events. Many people don't know that a hairstylist takes on many roles. I am a person's hair doctor, her counselor, her/her friend, etc. I like to keep all of my looks sexy and fun. Some of my clients have said that they they feel the best they ever have, and the smiles on their faces are priceless. Each one of my clients means a lot to me. I'm fulfilled with my work because I'm in love with what I do. I don't just do hair for the currency, but for the passion.
