Have you heard me ask you this question before?

Toning/glossing is a polished finish to any color service. Whether it just be to add shine, moisture, or proteins, glossing helps make your hair look extra fresh. With blondes, I love toning all my clients. Think of it as like a top coat of nail polish. It seals, it evens out lift, and it can help generate a soft out growth.

Toners do eventually fade however. To maintain your color, it is important to get a gloss refresh in-between your long color appointments. Glosses typically start to fade after about 6 weeks depending on the health of your hair, and if you use proper hair care. To help get longevity out of your color, I would suggest using a salon grade color protecting product. These products typically have special ingredients to help prolong your color.
I also suggest using a purple shampoo for those icy blondes. But be careful to not over use!! Sometimes purple shampoo can cause build up on your hair which can result in it looking, dull, dark, and dingy.
