Happy Holidays!!! Hope you all are doing well and the end of this insane year is quiet. So many of you all are still dealing with the aftermath of October’s hurricane bonanza. I wish you all peace and good will.

This is just feeling so right lately. It’s amazing how when you read cards for others you find your own story in there. So when she pulled these we had them in a different order. I got to thr end and was like “oh! The order is wrong. Here’s the story”. What do you all see in this? What story does it tell to you? Transformation can be magic. Have you ever wondered why during a haircut you say “it just feels so much lighter?” That’s because you’re not just cutting hair. Memories, trauma, feelings .. they all live in our hair. The simple transformation of a haircut can lay the foundation for more magic in your life.

This last week. THIS WEEK. So we lost our lease to our beautiful little shop and needed to find another place. We did and it turned out to be not so great. But we turned it around and it’s worked out perfect. So we are in our spot and it’s cute. Smaller, cozy, but cute. And I’m tired.

Second day at the new place. I miss my stuff. But we are working through it.

This is Laurie. There really isn’t anything I can say about her, this picture says it all. I asked Laurie for a selfie so I can post how cute she is. She gave me a full on curated headshot. How lucky am I? I see this goddess every 2 weeks, I’ve known her for 20 ish years.

One thing I am working on for myself is internal timing. I’m notoriously late. Both in my home life and business( although not as bad at work. But…). I get so caught up in what I’m doing and talking that time flies. Or time becomes a fly and I’m constantly swatting it away!! All that being said, I know that I need time in between you beautiful sirens. Time to enjoy the remnants of your beautiful song. Some of you leave a tantalizing trail of perfume, others leave a blessed quiet and a few leave pieces of spell work we have created. And I am a greedy little thing and want to keep it all. If I could only bottle you all up and carry you with me in my purse. As Mary left this morning she hugged me and left peace and quiet for me. Now I just have to figure out how to enjoy the mess I just made, soak up the last bits of love and clean up to be ready for the next siren’s song in 15 mins. This mess is my favourite mess.

Myra! Myra calls herself my pain in the ass, but I adore her. She’s always encouraging me and supporting me. So I figure I would start with her and start posting pics of my clients here. We did Myra’s colour today and this will last her 8 weeks. She’s grey coverage but as her grey starts coming in it blends beautifully. We dont worry about seeing it and enjoy all the stages of the grow out.

Corners. The past two months we have moved to a different room, painted and papered and now we are finally in the home stretch of dressing it. Tools have been leaving the salon, plants have come in and we just really need to fix the lighting situation. The buildings AC was even redone after that especially nasty batch of hot weather. I’m also contemplating using on my station. A fully guided station. Hmmm. It might be too much, but is t that the point? There are things I am working through right now. Both joyful and not so. I want something for my business that I don’t know the shape of, but I know the feel of.
