Sarah with RISE Performance has helped my dad with his gait after a medical scare, and she even taught him salsa dance moves to improve his coordination and balance🕺🏻

She helped my mom with her hip pain and getting back to walking Coco.🐶

She helped my partner with his shoulder pain, and last but not least, she helped me with my knee pain so I could continue running into my 40s pain-free (even when I thought my running career was over at 36).🏃‍♀️

Although presentations purely on medications are not my favorite (my favorite topics usually involve psychodermatology), this particular presentation does hold significance for me.

I have always felt it was unfair that pharmaceutical companies withhold dermatology drug education from specialties outside of ours. All of us, regardless of what specialty we work in, need to know about the nuances of the different drugs that are being developed and prescribed more and more frequently.

This presentation was my opportunity to educate my NP colleagues on some of the need-to-knows when they see a patient on one of these medications and how we can keep our patients safe regardless of the specialist they’re seeing.
✨I also got to learn a few pearls that I was not aware of from my NP colleagues in other specialities!

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Conference is the largest NP conference in the country, with over 5,000 attendees.

I totally get how it could be confusing though since kids get so many vaccines between 2 and 6 months, and that is the age when eczema (atopic dermatitis) is most likely to start.

Eczema is primarily driven by genetic predisposition, skin barrier dysfunction, and immune system factors.
And just like there are many causes, there are many ways to manage it as well.
