2025 — you started off with an incredible trip to Macedonia… celebrating Christian’s christening, soaking in the beauty of Macedonian Christmas traditions, and grounding myself in faith and family. We surprised Cole at FSU for his 21st, watched Ava turn 18 and graduate high school, and I felt so much pride as a mom in this season of change, growth, and new beginnings.

And then everything shifted.

The business I grew up in — the place I started working with my parents at 15 — closed its doors after our landlord forced us out for redevelopment. The salon I bought from my parents when Cole was just a year old… the place filled with history, memories, and decades of love… was gone.

It was one of the hardest chapters of my life. I was exhausted, heartbroken, and unsure of what was next. But in that quiet season came months of deep conversations with the Lord — listening, surrendering, and trusting His plan even when I couldn’t see the path ahead.

What felt like loss… became transformation.

Because God didn’t remove something — He was preparing me for greater.

Today, I stand in a space that is mine — my first business property, my salon, my new chapter. A place no one can ever push me out of again. Built on strength, courage, resilience, and unwavering faith.

And I didn’t walk this road alone.

My family stood beside me through every doubt and every tear — believing in my crazy ideas and pushing me when I felt empty. And my friends… they carried me in ways they may never fully realize. Every prayer, every conversation, every moment of encouragement — each friendship holds a special place in my heart and was a lifeline when I needed it most.

I didn’t just survive this year.

I rose.

Walked through the fire. Came out stronger. And stepped into a life and purpose only God could have written.

Here’s to faith, family, friendship, resilience — and the boldest chapter yet. 🤍✨

Please help fight the Tierra Verde redevelopment.
This poses a threat to all the small businesses that have made this island a family friendly community.

As Commissioner Kathleen Peters had suggested during the meeting, please feel free to pass along your support or opposition to these plans to the Council Members for the City of St. Petersburg. The Council Members and their email addresses are as follows:

The City of St. Petersburg is who will be approving this project and is the best place to start in voicing their opinions on this matter. The best course of action would be to email each and all of these council members collectively to voice an opinion for or against the development.

All we need to say in the email is that we strongly oppose the redevelopment plan for the Tierra Verde Marina. We are looking for a solution that keeps our local businesses and a design that is less invasive
