Through blood
Through the fast.
When Spirit didn't speak, and the only thing you could hold on to, was faith..

Oh.
Aspiring medicine woman.

So certain in your knowing
So quick to annoint yourself..
To claim your own name, before it was ever spoken over you.

Before the elders could witness your becoming.

Who did you walk with..
Which ones taught you the songs?
Who sang with you, until your Spirit remembered..

Whose grief did you sit with until it became your own?
Until you learned how to hold the pain, without feeling the need to fix it..

What rivers did you cross??
The ones that split your spirit open and taught you to surrender?
The ones where every step asked you to trust
what you could not yet see..
The ones that drowned every version of yourself
that could not carry this work?
The ones that left you less interested in being seen..
And more devoted to seeing clearly??

Tell me..
What rites of passage shaped your body into a vessel?
What ceremonies did you complete??

I'm talking about the ones where pictures are never taken.
Where blood is shed, and mouths are dried.

Not for social media.
Not for clout.
Not for credentials.

But the ones that left dirt beneath your fingernails and blood on your skirt.
Dried and cracked lips, where you would do anything for just a small sip.
A trembling Spirit, that kept praying to make it through, and left you crying in gratitude for justa sliver of a tangerine

You say you feel called.
I do not question the call.

But I WILL ask..

Who did you call?
Who did you ask for guidance.
Whose wisdom did you sit underneath?

Whose door did you knock on?
Willing to sweep their floor..
Just to sit near their teachings

Willing to listen and not to speak

Which elder did you humble yourself before?
Which lineage did you approach with respect

Or was it just...
A whisper in your mind?
A beautiful dream tangled with ego
Telling you...
You are the one.

Because in these ways you have decided to walk..
This medicine you have decided to give.

Requires more than desire.

It means -
You do not title yourself
Nor do you crown yourself

It means -
You are witnessed
And you are called forward.
It means..
You are TESTED.

Tell me...
When the people asked for your medicine...
Can you offer it freely?

Or do you quietly resent being asked to serve..

Because true medicine..
Does not keep one eye on the clock.

It understands that service is not the interruption.
But that service IS the work.

The medicine was never meant to make you important..
Or put you on a pedestal.

It was meant..
To make you useful.

So, the test is knowing deep in your bones
That yes...
This path IS yours.

But not yet.

Because spirit always shows you a glimpse of who you’re meant to become
Not to rush you forward..
But to root you deeper.

To see if you’ll honor the timing.
If you can hold the vision, without needing the title.

Because real wisdom knows, that just because a role is yours..

Someday.

Doesn’t mean it’s yours today.

And TRUE medicine wombyn..
The ones who last, and who walk with grace..

They know how to wait.
They know that sacred timing is it's own initiation.

So I ask you again..

Medicine wombyn.

Who gave you this title?
Who witnessed your becoming?
Who sang as you were reborn?

And if you cannot answer..

Then return to the beginning.

Sit.
Be quiet.
Unlearn.

And when spirit truly calls..

She will not flatter you.
She will BREAK you.

Not the kind of breaking that leaves a scar you can show the world.
But she will bring you to your knees, and take you through nights where you wonder if you have been abandoned.
Where everything you clung to strips away.

And only then..
Maybe.

You will be ready to carry the medicine.

Not as a title.
Not as a trend.

But as a sacred burden 🖤

The Reishi Oxymel is getting close. 🌿

I started this batch on June 20th, and after several weeks of slowly infusing, it’s almost ready to be bottled!!

This beautiful forest tonic was made with my wildcrafted Reishi, Burdock Root, Nettle, Rosehips, Wild Rose Petals, and Ginger, infused in raw honey and apple cider vinegar.

This blend was created to be a grounding daily tonic..
Eaarthy, warming, and gently stimulating, with support for digestion, circulation, and overall balance in the body.

The roots bring depth, the rose brings softness, and the Reishi ties everything together into something nourishing and steady 🤍

I love seeing how the same harvest can become completely different medicines!!
Working with this Reishi has been extremely educational and rewarding for me ✨️

The Reishi syrup became rich, warm, and comforting. The Shadow Work bath was grounding and restorative for the Spirit, and this oxymel has taken on its own character, and I'm super excited for it to be ready to share!

Spirit & Sense No. III

This a raw incense blend of Anise, Cardamom, and Allspice, crafted for those who honor the unseen.

Unlike commercial incense sticks, raw incense is burned directly on a charcoal disk, allowing the botanicals to release their aroma without being bound together with combustible fillers.

Many practitioners prefer raw incense because it offers a richer, fuller fragrance and allows each herb, resin, or spice to express its character more completely.
It also gives you the freedom to adjust the amount you burn, making each ritual a more intentional offering.
