Willamette Valley pies will be here for Thanksgiving! The WVP order has been turned in. I ordered 58 pies, one if my team members also sold pies and placed orders for some friends. On the master order everything must be in complete cases. Because of that there are now some pies available for purchase even though the order has been turned in. For those who missed out on pre-ordering pies I will have:

It's that time of the year again! Willamette Valley Pies are for sale to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Amy's Angels are flying, and I've got the order form. We've got the Pumpkin Cobbler from last year $15, and brand new this year: WHIPPED CHEESECAKES, a Marionberry or Salted Caramel with Pretzel $9 each. The old favorites are back, reasonably priced, AND the Pie Gift Card has returned. That's for those who can't make up their minds, or want a pie not on the Fundraiser page. Get the Gift Card and go to the WVP store and get whatever pie you want. Problem solved. Place your order at Keizer Greeters in the morning. Don't miss out. See you there. For all of you who signed up on the "JOIN OUR TEAM" flyer at Chamber, please check--16 signed up. There are now 10 Team members including myself. Nine have signed up, and two were not on that list. That leaves ten signitures still in the negative column. Please go to the website and join the team. As soon as we get recognized we'll have a website with our LOCAL WALK up for registration for you. We're on the lookout for Committee members, and I'm putting it out here. To get this Walk Event Officially recognized by the American Cancer Society as a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk we need to get recognized as an Official Group. To that end we need certain Committee Chair positions filled. I am therefore requesting volunteers to step up. We'll have a Board with monthly meetings. Looking forward to Zoom get togethers which should be easier on everyone. Though a once in awhile lunch also sounds nice. What ever fits the group situation at the time. Are you up to it? Can you fit the bill? Who do you know?

Are we ready to step up to the plate and show Oregon --"We Are HERE!!! We CARE!!! Can we Scare The Monster Away? The population of Salem-Keizer as of 2023 was 214,000. Hopefully out of that number there is at least two or four who would like to say "I had a hand in promoting the Breast Cancer Cure Research". This Walk funds the research, support for the fighters, caregivers, those trying to prevent it happening, catch the maybe. Remember, someday it might be someone you know. Let's stop this Monster in it's tracks! Committee Chair needed:

I attended Keizer Greeters on Tuesday and was very impressed with the presentation from PCL, Partnerships in Living, Inc. Since I believe in what they stand for and what they're doing for their community I have set up a passive Fundraiser for them. It will run 24/7 365 days a year. Anyone who lives anywhere in the continental US can participate and support them by looking through the latest brochure at:

For those who were interested in supporting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, but found Portland too far to go for the Walk in October. We've got one coming HERE in October. Right in your back yard, Scare The Monster Away Walk. Please join my team, Amy's Angels so we can judge how many to plan for. This will be our first year of we hope- many more to come. I'm working to get us recognized directly with American Cancer Society. Please bring your energy and hope along on our journey. We now have a brand new recruitment poster that you'll be seeing out and about in the next week, more will be coming later. Please advise if you need one for your business. The complete Walk route is being mapped out Thursday afternoon. Cards inviting folks to join in the Walk will be available as soon as the new ink for my printer arrives. I've already handed out 35 - 40. Follow through is slow.
We're planning on a Yard Sale late June or July. It will be a great way to clear out all the excess in your garage or attic and receive a donation slip for your taxes at the same time. All proceeds go to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. How much will we be able to raise here? How much should we set our goal for the Walk? How many people can we get to participate? I was told if I had 200 it would be a huge amount for the first year. What do you say folks? We're the Central Willamette Valley, and this is the Capital. Can we show them: "WE ARE HERE!! WE CARE!!" ?
