Most people don’t see this part of the extension process

Here’s why I like to shampoo my client’s fresh out of the box extensions:

Fresh out of the package, extension hair is coated in silicone to protect it during shipping and storage. Before installation, we wash that coating away so the hair can reveal its true texture, movement, and density.

That’s why extension hair can look significantly fuller after it’s washed and dried.

It’s a small step that makes a big difference in the final result! Her hair looks so thick and healthy!!

These aren’t quite as chunky as hers but this is a good beginner bang that is more wispy and easy to style.

I showed her how to get that volume and curtain effect on her own at home (this is key after cutting new bangs for someone) and I’m so obsessed with how they look on her.

a good install isn’t supposed to give you a headache for 3 days.

🤍 One of the biggest things we pay attention to during installs is releasing tension before clamping the bead.

Tiny adjustments like this help the extensions feel more comfortable on the scalp while still staying secure!

Scalps have a lot of movement and some clients are more flexible than others. Adjust your tension and don’t pull too tightly before clamping. This will not only give you a more comfortable install but have a better grow out and don’t damage or break any natural hairs.
