⚠️Some are making exaggerated and misleading claims that acrylic nail coatings take 24–48 hours to cure.

The facts are clear—when the correct ratio of monomer liquid to polymer powder is used, acrylic nail coatings achieve 95% of their full strength within 45–60 minutes and can reach maximum strength within 18–24 hours.

However, if these products are applied with an overly wet mix ratio or if the monomer liquid and polymer powder are not formulated to work together, the nail coating may never completely cure or reach its maximum strength. To prevent this, the mix ratio should always have a medium-dry consistency—never wet. Also, only use the polymer powder that was designed for use with the monomer liquid of your choice. Using a wet mix ratio can also increase the risk of skin irritation and, over time, lead to allergic reactions in both nail technicians and clients. The same concerns apply to UV-cured products if the wrong lamp is used.

In other words, when properly used these types of nail coatings cure to a safe level within an hour. It just takes a little time to reach cure to its max strength. This is why following proper curing procedures for all types of nail coatings is essential—for both safety and performance.
