Every structured gel appointment in my chair includes detailed cuticle work as part of the service. This creates a clean, long lasting manicure that’s easy to maintain with daily cuticle oil for 3–4 weeks.

My client and I have been on a mission. She has struggled with lifting and natural nail chipping for months. The second I switched her to Trinity Gel, the chipping stopped and with the added support of their prescription base Super-Bond, we no longer have lifting.

Super-Bond prescription base was created for oily or moist nails or people with hyperhidrosis who have extreme lifting. This client is a hair stylist whose hands are always in water and she loves to swim in her free time. I’m so glad we could find the right combo and grow out her beautiful natural nails.

is my greatest admirer in our industry. She is knowledgeable, brilliant and is a 6 time global champion. She has earned this title through every aspect in our industry and I too believe she is truly the best nail tech in the world.

I had the opportunity to sit in as a model for one of her classes last year and it humbled me deeply. It also brought back the light and passion I was missing and let me know I still had so much more to learn and ways to grow in this industry when I was feeling stuck and bored.

I recently decided to start her online education until I can get to an in person class in Europe or she comes back to the US but I wanted to start with something different. Her photos are beautiful and I can’t wait to utilize the knowledge from this class in my work.

So much went in to just this photo course and I highly recommend you all take it. She doesn’t use apps, filters or expensive lighting. She spends so much time in the detail down to the lumens of your lightbulb.

Luxio colors Savon and Polar

Today is a milestone.

Two years ago, I moved from a private studio and opened the doors to Crow Nail Studio’s salon location.

It hasn’t been easy.

It’s taken two years to pay myself a living wage.
It’s taken two years to question if this was even what I wanted.
It’s taken two years to build a team that felt right.
It’s taken two years of weekly meltdowns because not a single thing went according to plan.

It’s taken two years of figuring it out anyway.

It’s taken two years to finally see my vision start to come together.
It’s taken two years to realize it’s actually working.

Nothing about this was quick and nothing about it was handed to me.

More people doubted me than believed in me. Lucky for me, the doubt pushed me harder.

There were a lot of moments this could have gone differently.

It didn’t.

They say it takes two years for a business to succeed.

I understand that now.

I’m grateful for a husband who stood by me through all of it.
I’m grateful for the women in this salon who trusted me early on with their education, saw the vision, and chose to stay and build alongside me.
I’m grateful for my clients who trusted the shift. The changes in products, the change in focus, and the intention behind the work. Who saw the value in prioritizing the health and structure of the natural nail.

To everyone who has supported me or this salon over the last two years, thank you for being part of what this is becoming.

I’m not done but I’m proud of what I’ve built.
