⭐️Start growing your IG + other social accounts
✨Follow stylists that inspire you. Post consistently. Create reels. Genuinely engage with other's accounts to create community. Watch + save other stylists tutorials.
⭐️Open your books as wide as possible!
✨Sometimes in the beginning you may need to do men's cuts (even if that's not your ideal client) and work on days you'd rather not.
⭐️Assist for another stylist further along in their journey (ahem...maybe me!).
✨You will learn so many things you aren't taught in school + I usually send my overflow to my assistants.

👋🏻Hi! It’s me, Jane. I don’t know if I’ve ever totally introduced myself on here, so I’ll just share some fun facts and maybe some personal ones too. Who knows? I’ve been known to have no filter🙊🙈⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I grew up most of my life in Las Vegas. I started doing hair (really) in my moms bathroom in the fourth grade. Actually- it may have technically started before then when I used to cut my barbies hair. And that’s when I learned how tricky bangs can be😂

After crying basically everyday of my first year of college, my parents agreed to let me go to hair school (in 2007). They insisted that I get a college degree first, but obviously we’re swayed pretty easily.

I served an LDS mission in New York (Brooklyn and Queens) where I met my husband. And in a whirlwind of self discovery somehow landed in Utah. And I freakin LOVE it. We have a baby girl who is not so baby, and actually 2 years old now! My husband is applying to medical school so every dollar you pay me is basically just funding his education. Which actually means more than you know! I’ll save my husbands story for another day.. but I just want to say THANK YOU!! Thank you for your support. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for understanding my struggles and for helping me out along my journey. Thank you for trusting me with your hair. It’s such a large part of my identity. I knew I loved doing hair but it took the pandemic and the shut down for me to realize how much happiness doing hair brings into my life. So THANKS🤍🤍 @ Salt Lake City, Utah
