A Quick Nervous System Reset (You Can Do This Anywhere)

Sometimes your body asks for help before your mind even realizes you’re overwhelmed. Tight jaw. Shoulders creeping up. That little knot in your stomach that won’t quite loosen.

Here’s a tiny reset you can do right now — no equipment, no quiet room, just you:

The 5-Second Exhale

1. Breathe in gently through your nose for a count of 4.

2. Exhale slowly through your mouth for 5–7 seconds.

3. Repeat 3 times.

That longer exhale signals safety to your body — it tells your nervous system, “You’re okay. You can soften.”

The Soft Jaw Check

Notice if your teeth are touching.
If they are, let your jaw hang just enough to feel the tension melt.
(Your jaw is one of the body’s main stress-holders — even a tiny release helps.)

The Hand Reset

Press your thumb into the center of your opposite palm and hold for 3 breaths.
Switch sides.
This point helps settle “everything feels like too much” energy.
