Grey blending with fresh balayage? Um yes, please!

Happy Saturday! Full highlights for maximum brightness on this beauty! I did a small shadow root to give her a little more softness for her grow out. What do you like best? Full highlight or full balayage??

Hand Painted balayage for the 6 month-er! She had foliage in the past but was looking for something with even more longevity so I suggested hand painted balayage for a natural sunkissed look! She will most likely be back for a gloss mid-summer months to keep it shiny and cool-toned! Low maintenance bliss!

High Maintenance 👉👉👉Low Maintenance! My full highlight client was ready for a change: more depth and less maintenance. We did a blended money piece to keep her bright blended her natural level 4 with a color melt. 5/0 to (6/0+7/89) all with 1.9%. I pulled pieces through to break up her solid blond but kept her light at the bottom. We were both happy with the results, however I’m a bit sad I won’t be seeing her as often! 😜

Hand painted balayage to bring more brightness to her summer hair! Would you guys be interested in videos on how I hand paint?

Hand painted balayage for the perfect low maintenance dimension. This was a bit of a color correction today because we low lighted her last time and her lowlights faded a bit blue on the ends. So after her partial balayage processed, in the shampoo bowl I took a bit of the lighter left over and painted it on the ashy ends. After about 3 min the ends were lightened to a level 9. I then toned her base with an 8/0 and her ends with a 9/03. She evened out to this creamy blonde!

Stylists: make sure you go the little extra to make your creation even better!

It’s time to think differently about GREY. Grey hair has been a double standard for men and women waaay too long. Why do we love grey hair on men and think it looks old on women? Because women cover their greys as soon as they pop up and keep covering them until they are older, don’t want to mess with it anymore and that usually comes with a short cut that isn’t as fashion forward. If more woman started embracing their greys earlier while they continue to get high fashion cuts and wear trendy clothing, I promise you we would start shifting our thoughts on grey hair on women!

This stunning client came in thinking about hiding her greys and I about gasped because her hair color was so beautiful!!! So we decided on keeping the grey but brightening it with highlights (didn’t touch the front) and we added extensions! (I won’t even start on how hard it was to get grey extensions! 😠) and look how frickin stunning! 🤩

It’s time to change the way we think of grey on women… and it starts with ourselves 🩶
