I would never recommend my career path, but I’m glad I did it; let’s talk about it.

When I opened my salon I didn’t have two dimes to rub together or a single client to my name besides my mom and friends. And literally everyone in the industry told me not to go out on my own straight out of school, which of course only made me want to do it that much more. Everything I had to learn as a stylist, I learned the hard way. Hair color, what products I liked, extensions, what worked vs what didn’t, how to market, how to budget, how to manage a business; all while relying on it for income. There were so many times I wanted to quit and honestly in this industry when you feel discouraged it is so incredibly hard to get back up, which is why many stylists quit, but for me it was do or die trying. I was determined to persevere, I had to learn to take my losses and keep moving. A valuable lesson but a hard one. I’m so glad I stuck through it and have this wonderful business to show for it. All of my clients and fellow stylists that have been apart of my journey, thank you. From the bottom of my heart thank you; for every chat, every encouraging moment, every hard conversation, every hair appointment. The life I have built brick by brick is cemented with each and every one of you playing a role in it.
