The health of the cortex totally depends on the integrity of the cuticle protecting it! The cortex forms the main bulk and pigment (color) of hair. It's made up of long keratin filaments held together by disulphide and hydrogen bonds.

👈 The pic on the left is after a perm that didn't take. We were scratching our heads. What happened? Come to find out, she previously had a “keratin blowout/bonding treatment,” which stretched the sulfur bond and wouldn’t allow the perm to take! 🙅♀️
👉 The pic on the right is after a Solza Infusion treatment. Solza Infusion repairs and rebuilds the cortex from within, returning the hair to a healthy state. Now, we’re ready for a perm and color! 🎉
