I have some exciting news!

I offered at home color kits during the shut downs & they were a huge hit, but I assumed that the need was gone when the salon reopened.

Well, I was wrong sooooo AT HOME COLOR KITS ARE BACK!!!

I am now offering 2 TO-GO services for existing clients, The Quick Fix To Go and The Double Threat To Go. The quick fix allows you to cover greys where it matters from the comfort of home. The double threat is a toner and an Olaplex treatment to keep blonde hair healthy and fresh so you can always look like you just left the salon.

If this sounds like something you need, head over to the website just like you're booking an appointment. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu & you will see the to go services. Book whichever you'd prefer for the day that you'd like to pick it up. Don't mind the time too much- you're able to pick it up any time during business hours on the day you book for. Booking this way just ensures that I have your kit ready for you & you can pop in whatever time it is convenient that day.

🍷I love when my clients are feeling a little rebellious and choose to go darker in the spring!

We took a grown out balayage and transformed it into this gorgeous dimensional wine color, and I am obsessed!!

Reds are deceivingly more high maintenance than you'd think. Reds tend to fade the fastest so if you're looking for a color like this you need to be willing to use good quality color safe products, low heat, and be able to come in every 6 weeks for a gloss to keep your color looking fabulous!

God's plans are the best plans...

I am so grateful for all of the time I got to work alongside this beautiful lady. I was (and still am) inspired by her positivity. I could've wound up anywhere, but Laine welcomed me with open arms and we became fast friends.

There are all kinds of sayings about birds flocking together and how the people you surround yourself with affect you... Laine is someone I am proud and so thankful to have in my circle!

Life is full of chapters, and while her chapter behind the chair has closed, her chapter as a mom is just about to start and I could not be more excited for her.

Praying for a safe delivery and healthy baby! I am so excited to meet this little one! πŸ’—

A little sneak peek at what it looks like getting one row for volume and just a little length πŸ‘€.

Hand tied wefts are IT right now, and for a good reason. That being said, there are a lot of misconceptions out there. Here are a couple little nuggets about Hand tied extensions...

Myth #1: IBE is hand tied wefts.

Hand tied wefts are a product- the actual hair extensions. They are installed using a method. IBE is a method that utilizes hand tied wefts, and IBE is the method I use to install hand tied wefts. There are a lot of different methods, and a lot of them are great; however, there are also people charging a lot of money to install the University of Youtube method. Look for pictures of what is "under the hood" before you commit. If you arent seeing pictures of stitches and flip ups there is probably a reason... this is a quick easy way to have an idea of what you're getting.

Myth #2: Hand tied wefts do not cause damgage.

Any extension method can cause damage. Hand tied methods are designed to be safer for the natural hair and scalp than other methods; however, how safe they are depends greatly on not only the method, but also the person installing them. How much experience they have, their understanding of the method they use, how much attention to detail they pay, etc. It also has a lot to do with how they are cared for. Your extensions begin growing out the moment they are installed and between move ups, you are in charge of brushing, deep conditioning, blow drying etc. My website has an extension page with a lit of great tips on properly caring for your investment.

If you ever have any questions about extensions I am happy to help πŸ˜‰.

Brangelina. Kimye. Bennifer.

BRONDE.

Apparently it's a thing to make two names or words into one. Also a thing is bronde hair.

It is exactly what you think it is. Brunette and Blonde mixed together resulting in hair that's not too blonde, but also not chocolatey brunette. You can also customize it by adding a money piece or shadow root!

I think it's pretty timeless, and I also love using this look to help camouflage grays!!

Let me know what you think of "bronde" and if you have any cool two name/word combos.

Hubby's don't understand our hair, but they understand this!!! Sometimes they question if the expense is worth it, but IT. IS. WORTH. IT!!!

⭐ This is ONE row of IBE!

Did you know there are different classifications of split ends?

I spent a lot of time, especially in high school, plucking split ends. (Don't do this. Book a haircut πŸ‘Œ.) I definitely noticed some of them had more branches than others and also some had a white dot above them. The hair would easily snap off at that dot if tugged on.

The white dots indicate damage. Once they're there the only way to get rid of them is a good cut, but they can be prevented by using a good haircare regimine including weekly deep conditioning treatments, always using heat protection, lowering the heat settings on your tools, and getting trims at least every quarter.

🎡 These are a few of my favoriteeeee things...

One of the ingredients in Oi is roucou oil (aka MAGIC). It prevents aging, reduces UV damage, and neutralizes free radicals.

In simpler terms Oi is a great option for normal hair types. It will restore the health and shine of your hair and leave it super soft and hydrated.

If you aren't obsessed with your haircare regimine, you need to try these products!

When is the last time you got a new brush?

If there are bristles missing, k***s missing from the bristles, or you just can't get it clean it is time to get a new brush.

My go to is the Wetbrush Pro Epic Shine Deluxe Paddlebrush. It has flexible bristles that glide gently through tangles in addition to boar bristles that add shine. I also love that the boar bristles help evenly distribute both your natural oils and dry shampoo so you don't look oily or dusty.

Swing by today to grab one for $18.99.

πŸŒžπŸ‡¨πŸ‡±πŸŒ΅πŸ‘’When we were preparing to move to San Antonio in 2016 my husband and I left snowy Tennessee in mid-February to come house hunting in Texas. We met up with our realtor on a Starbucks patio and I got a sunburn.

I knew then I loved Texas!

Winter in Texas is super unpredictable. some years you get that, and then last year a lot of us went days without electricity due to the cold and snow.

When it is cold out, the air tends to dry out our skin and hair. Dry hair is more prone to breakage so it is super important to do deep conditioning treatments weekly this time of year.

Davines masks are amazing! I have several incredible options available in the salon- DM me to see which ones would be best for your hair type!
