It’s time for a change. Meet my fresh start:

The Four Winds Provisions,

formerly Panty Bling Reusables.

I have been pretty absent from social media these last two years. I’ve walked through a few really difficult seasons that were weary, yet transformative.

When I started this reusables business, there was a booming community on Facebook and so many makers had cute, cheeky shop names. I loved Panty Bling for a long time, but feel like I’ve grown up…as a woman, a mother, and a business owner - especially now that I’m forty 😅

The name Four Winds primarily comes from scripture, but my husband and I love to refer to our four boys as our four winds whom we are raising and sending out into the world.

Provisions encompasses not only the Lord’s provision for me through these wilderness seasons, but also encompasses more than just reusable products, giving me freedom to explore different products should I ever feel inspired.

Dandelions symbolize endurance, thriving in hard places, beauty in unlikely spaces, nourishment, and provision in unexpected places. There lay two years have developed my endurance and shown me deep nourishment and provision.

“Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.” Ezekiel 37:9

I saw this genius idea in one of videos and I had to replicate it. It has made the process of sewing gusher pads so much faster.

I bought a small cutting mat and had my husband cut it into strips for me. As shown in the second slide, I slip the strips between the top flannel layers and the bottom flannel and core layer. I cut through the top flannel layers with absolutely no risk of cutting the bottom flannel or core layer. I remove the strips, and BAM! Gusher snipping done in less than 5 minutes. 🤯🙌🏻

I did have to modify my process a little to accommodate the new idea, but it’s totally worth it. I really love making my snipped lines 1/2” apart, but I now have to make them 3/4” apart. I sewed a sample gusher to test the modifications, and the pad still performed just as well.

I am simply thrilled that I came across this hack - it makes the process so much more efficient and painless. Snipping used to take forever and was so tedious - and I was just waiting for the cut to go too deep and snip the core layer (or in my very early days of sewing gushers and I would snip at the very end, the leak proof backer fabric 🙀)

Anyone else have a teenager?

I’ve officially been a mom for thirteen years and my heart is not ready for how fast time is flying! We decided to give our two older boys their own rooms this month.. but didn’t *actually* have the space to do this 🥴😂

So we’ve done some intense rearranging and purging - it’s absolutely necessary and feels good to be done but boy was it overwhelming. This also meant that my precious sewing space had to move too. It took me a few days to fit everything in the new room and arrange it in a way that flows and is really workable.

Tonight, I finally got back into my sewing space to prototype a product for a custom order and it felt SO good to sew and serge in a clean sewing room again.

The rest of the house is completely insane, but for a couple of hours, I got to lose myself in what makes me really happy.

How is the start to your summer going?

Goodbye 2024.

I leave behind the heaviness of 2024.
I’m ready for what the Lord has for me in 2025.
