Y’all, Clay was one of the most memorable clients I’ve seen in recent days. We hit it off instantly and had amazing conversations. One of the first conversations we had was about Male Grooming. And I want to take you inside a little if that conversation.

Male Grooming can be super tricky right?! I gained my experience with male grooming when I worked for a Production Company who mostly hired male talent and we had long days on set. Now outside of Clay’s personal grooming we wanted to get him Headshot ready. Clay was very upfront about NOT getting rid of all his redness from rosacea. He felt like he wanted to be recognizable when you saw his headshot and met him in person later.

So here is what we did. We went in with a very light hand and neutralized the red areas. Not a ton but I brought more of a balanced look to the face over all. We groomed eyebrows, sideburns, and his beard. Took the shine down with over all powder to the face, neck and ears. And here is the trick, doing this all without leaving a trace. There should be no noticeable areas of any makeup on the skin.
