Today marks the 🏹 Hunter’s Moon aka 🌾 Harvest Moon which represents bringing in the abundance of the fall harvest and the time to start preparing for the winter months ahead. This year the full moon is in the house of the fire sign ♈️ Aries, giving us that flame necessary to spark the fires of manifestation and illuminate situations that may have seemed cloudy before. It urges us to act and to feel the fire of discomfort in order to achieve a greater purpose.
It also happens to be a Super Moon and will appear to be at its largest size out of the entire year.

🫚 The root has been used medicinally since ancient times and is also known as the “healing plant” and has been used for a variety of ailments including strengthening memory, muscle relaxation, and liver and kidney support. It is slightly controversial as a study revealed long term high dosage use may have negative side affects. Always consult your doctor before adding to your health regimen.

🎍 It’s lore is why this herb has a q***r association. It is named after the tragic Greek myth of Kalamos and his tale of ill-fated love with another man, Karpos.

❤️💛💚Happy Juneteenth Y’all! Today is a day to celebrate freedom and truth, and of course honor our ancestors who persevered through being enslaved so that we can be here today. I think of the countless small acts of kindness in the community that must have carried them through, and how that is true even today. We never know when that word of kindness or act of generosity may help get someone through another day.

🙌🏽 They say the truth will set you free, so what is your truth? What is freedom to you?

Nobody is free until Everybody is free and even today there are so many who fight for freedom from genocide, oppression, war, hunger, and so much more. It’s up to us to use the freedoms we have to help others. I believe we are, after all, at our best when we care for others. I hope especially today to embody that in some way.
