Dear Friends and Family,
I come to you today to provide an update on my kidney transplant journey. On Tuesday, March 13th, we traveled to San Antonio with hope and optimism as we began this important process. However, during the overall meeting on May 14th, which was also supposed to be the pre op date, we received unexpected news: one of the kidney donors decided to withdraw from the program.
As a result of this change, we were informed that my status on the donor list has been reset, effectively putting us back at square one in this journey. While this news is understandably disappointing, I want to assure you that we are remaining optimistic and resilient. We will continue to pursue this path with determination and hope for a successful outcome.
