HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A MANDELIC CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENT?
Mandelic acid does not pe*****te the skin aggressively. There should only be minor stinging while the peel is being applied, which only lasts 10 minutes tops. Typically, there is no peeling from a Mandelic peel, but some will experience flaking of dead skin cells post treatment. We call this one our ‘lunch-time peel’ because there is virtually no down time!
*One thing to keep in mind about ALL chemical peels is that the chemical peel is still working at improving the skin, even if there is no major sloughing of skin layers. When acids are applied to the skin, it is an exfoliation treatment, which means the dead skin cells are being lifted so newer, healthier cells can shine.
