I like to ask my clients this at the start of every session and the answers never get old. ๐
How's your body feeling today? If it could talk right now, what would it say?
"Please. Just stop." ๐ฎโ๐จ
"I'm holding so much right now." ๐
"Can someone PLEASE pay attention to me?" ๐
"Actually doing okay today!" โจ
"I'm exhausted but won't admit it." ๐
Drop๐๐ฝ the one that fits โ or write your own.๐ I genuinely want to know.
Because here's the thing โ your body IS talking. All the time. Most of us just haven't learned to listen yet. YET.
That's part of what we work on together on the table. Not just releasing tension, but reconnecting you to what your body is actually telling you.
Pretty powerful stuff for an hour's work. ๐

Can I be real with you for a second?๐ซฃ
There was a period in my life where I wasn't taking care of my own body the way I teach others to.๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Long hours.
Back to back sessions.
Giving everything to every client and leaving nothing for myself.
Healers do this.๐งโ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Teachers do this.๐จ๐พโ๐ซ
Caregivers do this.๐คฑ
We pour so completely into others that we forget we're running on the same human equipment as everyone else.
It caught up with me. Of course it did.
And the lesson I had to learn โ the hard way โ is that you cannot pour from an empty cup. Not sustainably. Not without eventually breaking something.
Now my own bodywork practice is non-negotiable. Not a reward. Not a treat. A requirement.
I share this because if you're someone who gives a lot โ to your work, your family, your community โ and you've been putting yourself last on the list?
I see you. ๐ค I've been you.
And I'm here to tell you there's a better way.
Quick question ๐
Are you someone who takes care of everyone else first?
Type YES โ that's me ๐
Type NO โ I'm good at prioritizing myself โจ
Type WORKING ON IT โ it's a process ๐ช
Drop it below. Let's talk about it.

New week. Fresh start. Few openings on my schedule.
But before I drop the booking link โ I want to ask you something different this week.
What would have to be true for you to finally prioritize this?
Would your pain have to get worse?
Would someone you trust have to recommend it?
Would you need to feel like you truly deserved it?
I ask because I hear versions of those answers every week. And what I've learned is that most people already KNOW they need this. They just haven't given themselves permission yet.
So consider this your permission slip. ๐
From someone who has spent over 18 years watching people walk in guarded and walk out restored...
You deserve this. Not "someday". Not "eventually". Not "when I find some free time".
This week.
Here's what to do:

He's in Product Development.๐ฅ๏ธ
Has to drive ๐ 45mins daily just to get to work. Then he's at a desk for the next 8 hours.โณ
And then it's the return ride home.๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
By Friday every week his body felt like it had been through a war.
He started coming in once a month thinking it was a treat. Six months later he called it maintenance.
Over a decade later? Massage is non-negotiable.
His words last time he was in: "I used to think pushing through the pain was just part of the job. Now I realize I was just slowly breaking myself down."
Here's what changed:
โ
Sleeps through the night now
โ
Works out more regularly with shorter recovery time
โ
Says he feels fewer aches and less pain every day
That last one matters more to him than anything.
Office work is hard on the body. Period. But hard on the body doesn't have to mean broken down.
If you work with your hands, your back, or in front of a computer every day โ this post is for you.
Type ๐ if that's you. I'd love to connect.

Here's something most people get wrong about chronic tension

Real quick โ I need your honest answer. ๐
On a scale of 1-5, how does your body feel RIGHT NOW?
1๏ธโฃ โ Completely wrecked. Send help.๐
2๏ธโฃ โ Pretty rough. Something's always tight.๐ซ
3๏ธโฃ โ Okay. Could definitely be better.๐ซฃ
4๏ธโฃ โ Pretty good actually.๐ค
5๏ธโฃ โ Fantastic. Living my best life. ๐
Drop your number in the comments.
No wrong answers. No judgment.
Just genuinely curious โ and if you're a 1, 2, or 3, we should probably talk. ๐

I want to tell you something I don't say enough.
This work chose me as much as I chose it.
I didn't grow up saying "I want to be a massage therapist." I grew up curious about how things work โ systems, structures, the mechanics behind the surface. (Engineering background, actually. ๐)
But somewhere along the way I discovered that the most complex, fascinating system I'd ever encountered wasn't made of metal.
It was human.
The body's ability to hold stress, compensate, adapt, protect itself โ and then heal, release, and restore when given the right conditions โ it never stops amazing me. Even after 18 years.
I show up differently to every session because every body tells a different story.
And I genuinely love getting to listen.
Quick question for you ๐
What made you first consider trying massage therapy?
Type A โ Pain or injury
Type B โ Stress and anxiety
Type C โ Curiosity / someone recommended it
Type D โ Haven't tried it yet
Drop your letter below. I read every single one. ๐

One month.
That's how long we've been showing up here together โ and something has shifted.
More conversations. More questions. More people reaching out and saying "I needed to hear this."
That tells me something important: you're paying attention to your body. You're thinking about it differently. And that matters.
Starting this week I'm going even deeper โ more behind the scenes, more real talk about what bodywork actually does, and more ways for us to connect directly.
But first โ this week's schedule has a few openings left and I'd love to fill them with someone from this community.
If you've been reading these posts and something has resonated โ this is your moment.

Something a little different today.
I want to say thank you.
To every client who has trusted me with their body over the past 18 years โ thank you. You've taught me as much as any course or certification ever could.๐จ๐ฝโ๐ซ
To everyone who has been following along here recently, engaging, asking questions, sharing these posts โ thank you. Building this community means more than you know.๐ฅฐ
And to the people who've been on the fence about booking โ I see you. No pressure. I'll be here when you're ready.
This work is a privilege. Every single session.
If you've worked with me before and felt comfortable doing so, I'd love for you to share what your experience has been like in the comments. Not a formal review โ just your honest words.
For anyone who hasn't yet โ I'd love to change that soon. ๐
