He knocked on the door, expecting an adult to answer. Instead, a scared 8-year-old boy ran straight into his arms.

James had been driving the same route for six years. He knew the houses, the dogs, and usually, the families. But the house on Highland Avenue always made him feel uneasy. The blinds were usually closed, and it was too quiet.

Today, he walked up with a box, looking at the label. Before he could knock, the door opened.

It wasn’t a parent. It was 8-year-old Ethan. He was wearing dinosaur pajamas, barefoot on the cold concrete, and his eyes were wide with fear. From inside the house, James heard glass breaking and a man yelling angrily.

Ethan didn’t wait for the package. He ran straight into James’s arms, burying his face in James’s uniform.

"He's hurting mom!" he cried, shaking. "Please!"

James didn’t check his schedule. He didn’t drop the box. He picked up the boy and ran toward the safety of his truck.

A neighbor was already on the phone with 911, watching everything. James sat on the back of the truck, keeping the boy safe between him and the house. Ethan was breathing fast and scared his father would come out. James just held him tight, rubbing his back.

"I’ve got you, buddy," James whispered. "You’re safe. I’m not going anywhere. You’re safe."

They waited like that for ten long minutes until the police arrived. Officers went inside, arrested the father, and made sure Ethan’s mom was okay. James stayed with Ethan until everything was safe.

To his company, he was just a driver running late. But to the boy in dinosaur pajamas, he was a real hero.

Your portion of the rent is $650. Move-in starts January 3rd, but I’m open to something sooner if needed.

What I’m calling in is someone mature, with their own established clientele, and who really understands the flow and respect required when sharing a room with another professional. The building is secure with a front door code, and there’s free parking in the back, which is such a gift in North Park. The area is filled with great restaurants, cafés, and a steady stream of locals who love beauty and wellness services.
