One of the mistakes that all of us make is we are always looking for ways to label ourselves and others. I don’t know why but we have this illusory fear embedded in our being that makes us feel we are going to lose our existence if we don’t hold on to some kinds of labels quite desperately.
We don’t realize that we are not our labels. We don’t realize that we can still exist without limiting ourselves within all kinds of names and labels and tags and boxes manufactured by our society. In fact, without holding on to any labels, we can exist in a much more meaningful way. We can exist with much more freedom of choice. LWe can be more and do more.
We, however, are not able to let go of all the labels that our society has given to us. We have attached ourselves with the dead titles and labels based on our ephemeral thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without realizing that we are a living organism that is constantly changing and evolving and that we have the innate potential to transform in a consistent manner.
Hence, it is simply illogical and insane to let a dead label define the existence of a living organism. But that is what we are constantly doing. That is what we are constantly letting other people do. Because we are constantly labeling ourselves, and because we are constantly putting ourselves in some kinds of boxes, we are not able to manifest real change and transformation in our life! How can you change when you are already sure about who you already are based on the labels society gave you? We need to stray afield from ourselves in order to find our individual truth. Adaptation is a fundamental human instinct, use it to your advantage! Great change is possible and more bearable in small steps.

WHY YOU AREN’T LOSING FAT
#
Fat loss is really pretty simple. Eat fewer calories than you burn.
#
But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s easy. ❗️❗️❗️
Sure you might be eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise, but even that doesn’t ensure results.
#
The most common reason you aren’t losing fat is because you’re eating too damn much. Even healthy foods, like nuts and avocado are loaded with calories. And be honest with yourself. How often do you take extra bites, licks, or tastes of something and not account? The best way to ensure you are in a deficit is to do a dietary audit. Write down everything you eat and drink for 1-2 weeks and see how many calories you’re actually consuming.

People love to believe that doing hours of cardio is best for fat loss. While it might help a little, it really doesn’t burn all that many calories, and it’s easy to eat them all right back. It’s best to prioritize weight lifting to build some muscle and change the shape of your body and let your deficit take care of the fat loss so you can really see the results.

Like I said above, exercise doesn’t burn that many calories. So if you’re working out a few days a week for 1 hour, that won’t do much to offset the other hours of the day when you are sitting on your butt.

Lack of sleep and unmanaged stress make fat loss much more difficult. Not only does it mess with your hormones, but it can really impact energy, hunger,and cravings. Meaning you will be more likely to move less but eat more.

You wanna get more toned and defined but you may be missing the key pieces to actually making that happen.

It’s not confusing, but it may change the way you do things.

Here’s you what you have to do.
-
1. You need to establish a calorie deficit
-
Realistically, to lose fat over a long enough time, you’ll need to lose weight. And losing weight means you need a deficit of calories.
-
This basically means you’ve put your body on a search for energy -/ off itself:
-
If you follow #2 and #3 you direct your body to get energy from fat instead of muscle.
-
#2 You need to strength train
-
Now, I’m not saying you can’t lose fat if you don’t strength train. And in the event you’ve got a lot of fat to lose, you probably aren’t at much risk of losing muscle in the early going.
-
However I am saying fat burning is enhanced with strength training no matter what. A higher percentage of the weight you lose will come from fat if you’re strength training.
-
What’s strength training?
-
Well, you actually have to challenge yourself to get stronger, and mainly in variations of the squat, deadlift, press, row, and lunge. We can stretch the definition some for sure, but that’s basically it.
-
If you’re getting stronger, or not getting weaker, you can trust you’re not losing muscle.
-
3. Eat enough protein
-
Studied consistently show muscle maintenance benefits in around 0.7 times bodyweight (pounds) in grams of protein.
-
That means you’re gonna need to eat more than you probably do now, and it means you’ll have to plan with protein first. The foods with the most protein for the least calories — meat, fish, protein powder, eggs, beans, etc — all need to be prepared.
-
So if building a meal plan for yourself, start your meals by getting your protein right.
Although protein isn’t the biggest one here, it’s got additional benefits to making it easier to eat the right amount of calories because it’s the most filling macro by a margin.

If you do these things, you can trust you’ll be holding onto muscle as well as possible. Adequate sleep, rest days, overall nutrition are gonna help you too.
