This is your sign to book your color appointment! Here are just three tell-tale ways to know when it’s time to refresh your color:
1️⃣ You feel like your tone has shifted. Is it too brassy or looking dull? That is a good sign.
2️⃣ You're not liking how your hair looks now. You may be wearing it up more and getting it out of your face.
3️⃣ You feel ready for a new color. If you want a change or love the feeling of fresh color-- go ahead and pamper yourself. As long as it's been 4-6 weeks since your last color, it's not too soon.

Know the right temp for your hot styling tools! 🙌 Fine hair: 280°F, Medium hair: 350°F, Coarse hair: 375-400°F. Start low, work up, and ALWAYS use a heat protectant to prevent damage! 💁♀️ Save for later! 📚
Ultra-fine hair can get the same results at 280°F that someone with thick and unruly hair could get at 400°F. Then take in consideration if your hair is also chemically treated, you’ll want to use a lower temperature since your hair strands are more vulnerable to damage at high heat.

True or False: Brass and warmth are the same thing 🤔
FALSE! Let me explain why…
Brass is unintentional discoloration. It can be caused by many things like not using the right products, environmental factors (hard water, UV rays), color fading revealing underlying tones, user error, or color misinformation.
Warmth on the other hand is a whole vibe ( just like the color in these photos). It’s an intentional hue or tone often in natural blondes or light brunettes! It gives depth, radiance, and richness to your hair.
So, you’re feeling brassy? What can you do?
Use pigmented toning products to cool down unwanted tones (purple & blue shampoo). However, this will dim the brightness of your hair color and you'll appear a little darker.
Freshen up with a toner! It’ll balance the tone, refresh your color, and add shine.
Make sure you’re using color safe products.

Here’s a life hack for knowing what temperature to use on your hot styling tools 🤍
The secret is... there's no one-size-fits-all! Your hair's texture and thickness dictate the right heat setting. Ultra-fine hair can get the same results at 280°F that someone with thick and unruly hair could get at 400°F. ✨ Then take in consideration if your hair is also chemically treated, you’ll want to use a lower temperature since your hair strands are more vulnerable to damage at high heat. 🌟
Here’s a general guideline for the right temperature:
🔥Fine hair: 280°F
🔥Medium hair: 350°F
🔥Coarse hair: 375-400°F
Still, start at a lower temp and work your way up to find the perfect setting for you and ALWAYS use a heat protectant. ❕We cannot stress that enough! It’s essential to shield your hair from heat damage.
