Re: the big gas station explosion at Guerrero and 16th. As far as I know, the salon is fine. It was my day off but I drove by to see if I could assess the damage. Unfortunately the whole four block radius is closed off. My neighbors, however, told me that the window held and their apartments are ok so fingers crossed, so is the salon. I’m planning on being open tomorrow although it may smell a little singed in there.

I am delighted to announce that this Holiday season Barnets Salon will be donating to Meals On Wheels. This well known program has been serving seniors since 1954. These folks are often homebound, lonely and hungry. MOW serve thousands of meals a year and offers a friendly face and some companionship to someone who may not see anyone from one day to the next..but they need the publics help
so if you can afford a suggested donation of just $5 or any amount, it could make a huge difference to someones life this winter.
There will be a collection box in the salon and thank you in advance, for your generosity.

Barnets is making it easier to
be a little more GREEN in 2024

Barnets is excited to announce the opening of its new refill bar. This is a self service option for regular clients who purchase product through the salon or through our affiliated online stores. Read on.....

Hair salons are notorious for their non sustainable practices. In order to create works of art on your head we have to use, water, energy, chemicals and disposable products.
There is, however, a way to minimize this by looking into areas where we can be better stewards of the planet. At BARNETS, our salon is lighted by energy conserving bulbs and cleaned using non toxic cleansers, we recycle all our bottles, tubes of color, miles of tinfoil (used for separating colors) and compost everything organic which includes a huge amount of your hair.
But we want to do more and where better to start than reducing single use plastics.
You can now refill your empty product containers (purchased through BARNETS or through our online stores) with the same product and receive a 5% discount on your purchase.
