Exciting News: Acute Collective is Moving to a New Location @555 Sutter!

Hey Everyone,

We’re excited to announce that we are moving to a new location at 555 Sutter!
Starting **October 15th**, all appointments will be at our new spot on the 3rd floor, Suite 301.

Just ring the intercom at the front door, and you can take the elevator or stairs right to us—our door will be directly in front of the elevator/staircase. Bishop and Boogie will be there to greet you!

This new location is conveniently accessible from the Powell St BART/Muni station, with several Muni Bus routes nearby. For parking, the Sutter Street Garage offers affordable options, and there’s some metered street parking as well. Just a heads up: there’s NO parking on Sutter between **4-6 PM**.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home! As summer wraps up and fall approaches, it’s the perfect time for a new cut, color, or style.
Andrea and I are here to keep you looking and feeling fresh and fabulous—and of course, to share a few laughs along the way!

Hopefully everyone slid into 2024 smoothly, happy and healthy.

First of all thank you for an amazing 2023, We appreciate your business, friendships, laughs and stories. We are looking forward to keeping you all looking cute for the upcoming year. ❤️

As most of you are already aware, we cancelled gratuity/tips and switched to hourly pricing. So far it's been pretty successful, but there are is still a little confusion on how to book. I wanted to just send another email explaining how it works.

Prices are set by the amount of time booked.
Most of you were paying for 1hr @ $145 plus 20% gratuity, which equals to $174.
I now charge a a flat rate of $170 for an hour long haircut. Yay to saving a little bit of $$$. A lot of your haircuts can actually be perfected in 45mins, which will be $125, so YAY to saving a lot more than $4.

If you book for an hour and I know for sure I can get you in and out in 45 mins. I will change it through the booking app. And vice versa, if you book 45mins and I know it for sure takes an hour, I will fix it.

The most feedback I've been hearing, is the confusion for booking of hair color appointments.

Root touch ups increased a bit, $165 plus 20% gratuity = $198 to $255. However you have the option to book it without a blow dry, which will be an hour. So you will still be saving, especially for those who book every 5 weeks.

My partial highlights, may look like a big increase, but again a lot of my appointments will be less time than what we used to book (especially highlights with a cut) and be saving you a few dollars.
For example, where we used to book for 2.5 hrs for $315 plus 20% gratuity equals to $378. Since I can get most of my partial highlights in and out in 2 hours, with the new hourly flat rate, that appointment time slot is $340! Some of these appointments will decrease to 1hr and 45mins, which will be $295.

This is efficient for all of us and allows me to see more people, and make sure all products are covered. Since we only use the best on you and your hair, which is of course, KEVIN MURPHY!!

If there's ever happens to have extra time at the end of your service, we're happy to add a Bang trim, Gloss, Curl, or even give you an extra long head massage with your wash. Win Win!!
This is still a learning process for us as well, and we are happy to answer any questions, or concerns.

Introducing Hourly Pricing - Pamper Yourself at Acute Collective!

Hi everyone,

Happy Fall from all of us at Acute!
As most of you have heard I will be switching to hourly pricing starting November 15th.

Hourly pricing is a flat rate based on time. Every person, their hair, and their needs are different. Which is why I’ve chosen hourly pricing. This change will allow me to work more efficiently, and also make gratuity optional for my services.

Andrea will remain service based for her own appointments, and will still be accepting gratuity via her venmo. She will also be a lot more hands on with my clients including shampooing, color application and toning, blow drying and heat styling.

This will be a breakdown of my services and pricing in hours:

10 min appointment
Bang trim -$25

45 min appointment - $125
Blowout or Fine Hair Haircut
Short Simple Cuts

1hr appointment - $170
Haircut or Conditioning treatment/toner with a Blowout
All over color or root touch up with no blow out

1.5hr appointment - $255
Haircut and gloss, toner, or treatment
All over color, root touch up with a Blowout

2hr appointment - $340
All over color or root touch up with a Haircut
Customized Partial highlights.

2.5hr appointment - $425
Customized Partial Highlights with a Haircut
Full highlight with a Blowout

3hr appointment - $510
Customized Full Highlights with a Haircut
Root touch up with Partial highlights and Blowout

3.5hr appointment - $595
Customized lived in Color with Blowout
Platinum Card Highlights with Blowout

4hr appointment $680

If a service takes longer than the original quoted time for your service, you will be charged for your quoted amount of time in the salon. If your service is completed 15-30 minutes earlier than your quoted service time, we can use this time to fine tune your finished style, and even dust your ends, but you will still be charged for the original quoted time. I will be tracking times for each appointment to ensure we book the right appointment for your needs.

What if I'm running behind for your appointment?
In the event that this happens, I will have already contacted the appointment after you to ensure you're getting your full amount of time in the chair.

I wanted to let you know about some changes to when you can reach me via text.
Starting immediately, you can reach me between 11 AM and 7 PM during my work hours. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
I'll do my best to reply promptly during that time.
However, please keep in mind that messages received outside of this timeframe will not be answered until the next business day. This change allows me to clock out and recharge, especially on my days off, so I can provide you with the best service.

I also want to remind everybody of our cancellation policy.
We require 48hrs notice for all cancelled or rescheduled appointments. A 50% cancellation fee applies for all cancelled or rescheduled appointments within this window.
Any appointments that are cancelled, rescheduled or missed at time of, or after the 15 min grace period of the scheduled appointment time will be charged 100%.
If you show up more than 15 mins late to the appointment, you would have to be rescheduled, and be charged the cancellation fee as well.
