Julie was ready for an update to her long, curly s**g.
She comes in about 2-3 times a year.. so I took this into consideration when cutting her hair. .
This crescent shaped fringe and tight, short face framing pieces will last a long time and turn into beautiful curtain bangs for her. .
Cleansed with New Wash. My favorite cowash foot waves and curls. It doesn’t strip your hair like shampoo.
I used their Hair Balm and Undressed texture spray to create these voluminous, fluffy waves with definition.

🍦 Vanilla Swirl🍦.
Full Highlight + Haircut.
For Alicia we did this major blonde moment 🚨 .
I used foils to create tons of Blended little hi ghlights. I used conditioning Shades EQ toner to create an all over coolness, and to give the root a little shadow.
I love adding a shadow to my highlights. It creates a beautiful depth, and makes the growout super soft and easy. It will last a little longer with the shadow. .
I trimmed Alicia’s hair using both my straight razor and my shears. With the razor I cut in these swishy curtain bangs and short, puffy layers at her crown. I cut her length with my shears to create bulk and preserve fullness. .
Cleansed with New Wash, my all time favorite cowash. Styled with their Undressed wave and texture spray, and Dressed Up, a super light-weight heat protection blow dry cream.
We gave her the signature twisty blowout using a small round brush .

🥃 Butter. Scotch. 🥃 .
Cut + Color • Before + After.
I used a combination of foil and balayage highlights to create this golden, caramel, glowing halo for angel Lucianne. .
I cut this curly, s**ggy Bob with my razor. I skipped all the long razor strokes and thinning.. using short little strokes.. keeping the texture on the ends only, so her curl pattern stays chunky and full. .

Cleansed with New Wash for perfect curly texture. This cowash leaves your hair the perfect texture for creating supple, defined curls. Shampoo strips the fine oils our curls need to thrive. New Wash is a conditioning cleanser. No conditioner needed.
Styled with Hairstory Undressed wave spray for big textured waves and Hair Balm for definition and light moisture. .

🌸 Flower Bell 🌸.
Dry Cut .
Mariana came in for a refresh on her cute ‘French bob’. I went layer by layer, using my shears to create this layered s**ggy bob. .
Short crown layers anchor this shape with all the layers cascading from there. This also makes it grow out easily and last a long while.
The fringe is a chunky, swishy, convertible curtain bang and face framing bits. .
To style I used lots of Undressed wave spray and a little Hair Balm and scrunched the hair while diffusing. .

🧨 Copper Flower 🧨.
Balayage Highlight + Cut .
Amanda gave herself a DIY cut and TBH it looked pretty good! But, she wanted it all evened out and with more lift.. It’s also hard to cut the back of your own hair. I should know! 🤪.
She had grown out some highlights that we did a few months ago. Now she wanted to be even more copper and less blonde.
I mixed a very gentle semi-permanent color with a higher volume developer (30) to get this beautiful copper color. I used a balayage painting technique to sweep this color into her roots. This created a soft Gradient color that will grow out really nicely. .
I used my straight razor to shape up the cut. The fringe has short bits in the middle and short bits on the sides which gives a nice frame to her features. .
Cleansed with Hairstory New Wash for perfect air dried texture. Styled with lots and lots of Undressed for Volume and wavy texture. Then pinched their Hair Balm into the ends for definition.

Razor Cut.
For a look like this book ‘Cut with Wash and Style’
I need to wash the hair and have it soaking wet to use the razor. .
Razor cuts have more volume, air dry best with minimal styling, and last a super long time. They grow out soft and easy. .
Lisa wanted to add volume and wave to her hair and she wanted to try a full fringe.
I used the straight razor to cut in this cool ‘convertible bang’ with some pieces that can lay on her forehead and swooping sides that will turn into curtain fringe. She can wear this all forward on her forehead, or open to the sides.
To add volume and wave to her hair I remove fine little pieces of hair by dragging my razor gently along the lengths.
We also added cut short crown layers and shorter face framing bits. .
Cleansed with New Wash for the perfect air drying foundation. with TONS of Hairstory Undressed wave spray. I squeezed their hair Balm into the ends for a piecey look. .

*Throwing it back to 3/20 right before the world changed 🙀.
•Wassup y'all, here's a fun pre-isolation makeover 🤍🤍. Mariah's hair was HEAVY and long and she had been touching up the base color her self. Honestly her color was nice, I just wanted to punch it way up. .
So, I did a heavy Balayage highlight with duh, and toned it with a combo of Shades EQ and Pulp Riot colors 🙀🙀🙀. For the cut I razored in ALLLL the face framing layers, popped up the crown layers, and took out much much weight. Yay! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡.

Color and Cut Correction.

Mattie had a cut and color she didn’t love. The color was too warm (gold/yellow) and the cut was too texturized and thinned out. .
We did a Full Highlight with a root melt to cancel out all the unwanted tones. .
I cut her hair blunt with my shears to create bulk and heaviness (rather than wispiness).
I used and treatments to keep her hair strong, soft, and shiny in the process. .

In August I got a BOTCHED haircut I went in wanting a shorter fringe and woke up the next morning with a mullet…

I have been known for my thick long hair (for better or for worse) my entire life… so to have a whoopsie daisy that I couldn’t control happen was a major dent in my self confidence. Thank goodness I love hats 🎩 happy hatter over here 🙋🏼‍♀️

🌱🌱 Perennial Bloom 🌱🌱.
Cut + Color 8/21.
We did Maddy’s color months ago and it is still looking cool 😱😱🤯. Originally a rich slime green, it has faded to a light grassy green. .
I touched up the cut with my straight razor. I created short layers around their part.. and sliced in melty, twisty texture throughout.
I used a pinch and snip method to cut in their signature choppy/blunt fringe. .
Styled with lots of Undressed for wave and texture in Maddy’s super straight hair. I squeezed their Hair Balm into the ends to finish. .

A little update to Julia’s long, soft s**g. She’s growing out her bangs so I softened them with my shears to give them more flow.
We added some new shorter face framing, jawline accenting bits.
Short layers at the crown give it that sixties pop. .
Dry cuts typically have a soft, flowy, lower volume finish. .
