Doing weddings was always very stressful for me- adding a transformational haircut to the gig is bananas! I LOVE it.

Everyday I am reminded how significant hair is to most people. In my work my intention is to celebrate hair, go wild with it, go classic with it, or ….go with without it… to play with presentation and identity and also sit with the women on the sidelines who don’t feel like they get to play the game.

In my support group for women with hair loss we have processed the feelings associated with being “left out” of the broader hair conversation/celebration. We strive to create rituals that include us, and consider us.
I love my job. I get to remind women there is more to being pretty than hair. And also that wigs can be hella fun. 🩷
