Thank you all so much for your support over the last 35 years!

I am sad to share that I am closing up shop on the product line. As of July 2026, we will no longer be selling our Nicolas Haircare product line and I will be closing our San Francisco offices. I will move to a local salon where I will be doing hair for my clients one or two days a week. Being a stylist is what started me in this business over 56 years ago and it is coming full circle for me as I end my career in the same place I started it — behind the chair.

The reasons behind my decision are many and varied; the retirement of our long time manufacturer in 2024, inability to source ingredients for the products you have come to know and love, huge price increases in the products we can get, lob delays and sudden discontinuations on products - none of this is fair to you, our loyal customers. The long term outlook for manufacturing in this sector is bleak and I know that these trends will only worsen before they begin to improve. Frankly, I can’t wait for this to happen; every day that goes by I am losing (a lot) of money and the confidence that you have had in Nicolas Haircare as a source for the best in hair care products.

We will begin a 35% sale on the nicolashair.com website for our retail clients on 5/1 and will be selling until our shelves are empty. We will begin a sale for our wholesale clients in June.
