1. STARTING WITHOUT A PLAN

A lot of people just jump in and think “I’ll figure it out later,” but without a clear plan, everything gets messy fast. Doing lashes isn’t just about making them look pretty, it’s also about building a career.

2. TRYING TO MASTER EVERYTHING AT ONCE

Practicing lashes, learning new styles, then moving on to brows and other skills all at the same time… that’s only going to burn you out, and you won’t truly master anything.

Take it step by step, get really good at lashes first, then move on to brows.

3. LACKING A BUSINESS MINDSET

So many lash artists are amazing at their craft but still struggle to get consistent clients. It’s not about skill, it’s about understanding business.

Great work is just one part of it, you also need to know how to price, take care of your clients, and manage your costs.

4. NOT KEEPING UP WITH NEW TECHNIQUES

The lash industry changes fast. Many clients, especially younger ones, love trendy or customized lash designs. If you stop learning or don’t stay updated, you’ll fall behind.

Clients today are diverse and don’t just stick to old styles anymore.
