Flashback to October 2019, when I had the opportunity to travel to Barcelona for four days (on someone else’s dime!) and work in the lab with the owner of a haircare line who was working on diving into the professional world.
They were working on a smoothing treatment, and I had the pleasure of getting to work with the product, test it on some models, provide my input and get to work on several other products they had in the works. The plan was for me to help develop a team of licensed professionals to teach certification programs for this new product. It was even going to include some travel to areas like Dubai and/or Kuwait to get education teams established.
Then along came Covid. All of those plans came to a screeching halt.
In September of 2020, the company decided we should film an educational video that would walk stylists through the proper ex*****on and technique, so they could hit the ground running with this smoothing treatment without having to attend an in-person class. With the help of some dear friends and clients, we made this happen!
Unfortunately, this product ended up not making it to the shelves, and I honestly don’t know if it’s “still on the table” or if the company has went another direction completely.
Either way, I had an incredible experience! And had I known Covid was going to happen and shut the world down, I would have spent extra time in Barcelona playing tourist and seeing even more than I got to see during my short 4 days there!
Thanks to my bestie Jennifer and my dear friend & client Beth (who is an amazing videographer and behind the scenes working on the First 48 in Tulsa, OK) we were able to make this video happen. I guess it’s time for me to share it with you guys!
(Please don’t laugh at my “professional voice” because I’m laughing enough for all of us 😝)
