Our candles are made with high quality 100% soy wax, cruelty free and vegan friendly fragrances/colors, and finished with cotton wicks. All our handles are made by hand and crafted with close care and attention.

Through December, 12 oz candles will come in an optional gift box. Choose between holiday theme window or standard window gift box. Candles ordered in sets of 4 can choose between a large gift box with crinkle paper or individually boxed. Your choice!

What is soy wax and why choose candles made from 100% soy wax over candles made from other types of wax?

Soy wax is 100% natural vegetable wax derived from soy beans. Soybeans are grown all over the world and is one of the major agriculture crops for the US. It is a sustainable and plentiful crop that is environmentally friendly to produce. Conversely, petroleum-based paraffin wax, one of the most popular candle waxes due to its cheaper costs, is a byproduct of gasoline production. It is not a renewable resource and is not biodegradable.

Candles made from soy wax also burn cleaner than candles made from paraffin or other wax blends (often labeled “soy blend” for the appeal). Burning paraffin wax releases soot containing chemicals that have been linked to respiratory irritation, asthma, and lung cancer. This soot can build up on walls, upholstery fabrics and carpets. Soy candles do not release these toxic chemicals and have little to no soot. People who have traditionally not been able to tolerate paraffin wax candles may do well with soy wax candles instead.

Soy wax candles burn slower and at a cooler temperature. They will last 30%-50% longer than a paraffin wax candle of the same size. They also have a more sustained pleasant hot throw. This makes them more cost effective in the long run.

Many candle makers advertise their candles as being “soy candles” or “soy blend candles”, but are actually soy and a blend of other substances like paraffin. If the label does not say 100% soy wax, be cautious.
