What I’ve realized is this: no matter where you go, you’re still you. If you’re unhappy, a change of scenery won’t magically fix it—you carry yourself, and whatever you’re wrestling with, wherever you travel. So it’s worth tending to those things, gently and honestly, and making room to enjoy the short, luminous time we get on this beautiful earth.
