When you lose significant fluids through heavy sweating, extended intense exercise, or illness you need to add electrolytes. π§Thirsty Thursday Tip!! π§Do you drink bottled water ? You reach for bottled water because it feels like the clean choice. A review in the Journal of Hazardous Materials, pooling 141 studies, suggests otherwise: people who rely on bottled water may take in up to 90,000 more plastic particles a year than tap drinkers, who ingest closer to 4,000. Columbia and Rutgers researchers counted as many as 400,000 particles per liter in common brands, many small enough to cross the blood-brain barrier. Human health data is still emerging, and nothing here proves harm. But the fix is unusually easy: make filtered tap water your default, and the single biggest source of your exposure largely disappears. Maybe rethink how you drink bottled water!! π!π
