Today’s full body wax appointment was filled with laughs, great conversation, and a few moments where we both had to catch our breath from laughing so hard. But while we were having fun, I made sure to educate him on the importance of proper aftercare because the results don’t stop when the wax service is over.

With the hot weather, sweating, and increased outdoor activities, some clients can be more prone to breakouts, irritation, and ingrown hairs after a full body wax. Here are a few aftercare tips I always recommend:

✨ Avoid excessive sweating for the first 24 hours when possible.
✨ Skip hot tubs, saunas, and very hot showers for 24-48 hours.
✨ Wear loose-fitting clothing to reduce friction on freshly waxed skin.
✨ Keep the skin clean and avoid heavily fragranced products immediately after waxing.
✨ Begin gentle exfoliation 2-3 times per week after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

A good wax gets you smooth skin, but proper aftercare helps keep it that way. 💛
