After spending last week reflecting on mother-daughter memories, it felt fitting to share another special mother-daughter duo who regularly brighten the salon with their smiles, laughter, and wonderful company.
This visit included a refreshed highlight for Suzanne, but as always, the best part was the time spent together.
Many in our community may recognize Brandy from local events, where her love of music, dancing, and playing the drums brings smiles to those around her. Alongside her mother, Suzanne, they continue to be a positive presence both inside and outside the salon.

Something I accidently saw at Hobby Lobby today on my day off looking for things for my outside patio. Took a picture left the store, came back and now look where it sits. The more I sat looking at it speaks many different values and possibly to those guest finally and possibly finding Enchanting Salon Boutique.

For those who have been following the memoir pages I've been sharing, I wanted to let you know that the memoir now has a home of its own.

This page is not about hair, promotions, or salon updates.
It is a living memoir told one page at a time.
It is the story behind Enchanting Salon Boutique, the lessons learned, the people who shaped my journey, the challenges, the memories, and the moments that helped make me who I am today.

"The Woman Behind the Mirror"
I arrived in Florida in late 1987 with the man I believed I would build a life with. Like many young women, I thought my future was already mapped out and that we would move forward together.
One day, while sitting in a shopping plaza, I looked up and saw Cantwell College of Beauty.
I enrolled, and not long afterward, discovered I was pregnant. I attended beauty school throughout my pregnancy.
On February 12, 1989, my daughter, Bettina Jodi Morales, passed away before she was born. The last movement I felt from her was around 4:00 that morning. At 9:00 a.m., I learned there was no heartbeat, and at 11:00 a.m., I gave birth.
Although I was living in Florida, Bettina was laid to rest in Liberty County, Georgia, where she still rests today.
I continued forward, completed the program, and became a licensed cosmetologist on August 12, 1989.
At the age of 23, 1989 brought more loss than I ever imagined. I lost my daughter. My marriage ended. And for the first time, I was truly on my own.
Despite the challenges I faced, I remained in Florida and continued building my life there.
Although Liberty County was the only place I had ever really known growing up, I had no intentions of returning to live there. I came back to visit the people who had raised me, the people I knew, and to visit my daughter's grave, but my plans were always to build my life in Florida.
Nothing could have convinced me that I would ever return to Liberty County to live. Or so I thought.
What I didn't know then was that the decision to keep going would open a door to a career that would change the course of my life.
And the story was only beginning...

A little over a year ago, Rachel walked through the doors of Enchanting Salon Boutique.
This week, she sent these beautiful wedding photographs from Jamaica.
What a wonderful memory for Enchanting Salon Boutique to have as part of our story. One of the unexpected blessings of this profession is that our guests often invite us into their lives beyond the salon chair. We become part of the conversations, the plans, the milestones, and sometimes even the celebrations.
For Rachel to think of Enchanting Salon Boutique while celebrating such an important occasion and then share these beautiful photographs with us means a great deal.
These are the memories that become part of our daily business, our photo collection, and the story of the relationships built here over the years.

Where the Mirror Has 2 Faces
Most men never consider coloring their hair because they've seen too many results that simply don't look natural.
Hair that looks like shoe polish.
The challenge becomes even greater when the hair is completely white.
White hair has little to no pigmentation, making it one of the most difficult hair types to formulate and color successfully. Simply applying color isn't enough. Without the proper formulation, the result can look artificial rather than natural.
For many men, it isn't about trying to look younger.
It's about looking in the mirror and seeing a reflection that matches how they feel.
That's what makes a transformation like Vincent's so remarkable.

There are moments in this business that go far beyond hair, and this is one of them.
Today, Rachel walks down the aisle and begins a new chapter surrounded by love, hope, and the promise of forever.
It has been a privilege to be part of her journey, and I couldn't let this special day pass without wishing her a lifetime filled with happiness, laughter, beautiful memories, and everlasting love.
