Mint Salon Block is excited to re-introduce Alex Norvell, now at our Scarborough location...
Alex, cosmetologist and owner of Studio Pixie, creates customized color, lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, grey coverage, balayage, and offers amazing signature blowouts including scalp treatments and massage. Her passion is creating healthy, beautiful hair that suits her guest’s lifestyle. After graduating from Cosmetology School in 2014 in Colorado, she worked as an apprentice under Jeff Novak at Lather Salon in Aspen. Alex loves establishing meaningful, long-term relationships with her clients. She believes there is beauty and magic woven into the small moments every day, and she brings that philosophy into her work and her life. Studio Pixie feels warm, welcoming and a little whimsical! Her goal is to create a place where guests can slow down, feel nurtured and leave loving their hair while also feeling lighter and more confident than when they walked in. Alex believes the best stylists are lifelong students who continue to seek out opportunities to grow and evolve behind the chair. Throughout her career, Alex has expanded her education with advanced training in Keratin Complex smoothing treatments, balayage and dimensional color techniques, Paul Mitchell men’s cutting and styling as well as tailored haircutting. In addition, she is Nova Lash certified with a Lash Lift and Tint certification as well.
In addition to building her business that reflects her creativity and authenticity, when not behind the chair, Alex is busy being a mom and creating memories with her son, Jackson. You can find them chasing the sunshine, swimming at the lake, hiking trails, skiing or gathering with friends and family. She is happiest outdoors, she loves cooking, live music, comedy, fresh flowers and the moon.
We're very grateful to have Alex back at Mint with us after she took some time off having her son. Alex was previously at our Falmouth location for a few years where she was equally loved by co-workers and clients because of her talent, bubbly personality and positive outlook! ❤️

Mint Salon block is pleased to introduce Sheridan Blackstone...
Sheridan, owner of Hair by Sher, has been creating beautiful hair and makeup looks since 2021. Specializing in lived-in blondes and brunettes, dimensional balayage, blowouts, layered haircuts, wedding and event styling and make-up, Sheridan is a very detail-oriented hairstylist and make-up artist. Growing up in Caribou on a potato farm where she worked long hours, Sheridan is a hard worker, a great listener and loves to help her clients decide on the right style and color to fit their uniqueness. Her passion for creating healthy blondes and styling hair, ensures her clients leave feeling confident. As a graduate of Empire Beauty School in Portland and certified in both Masters of Balayage and Bellami Hair Extensions, she enjoys helping clients look and feel their best every day and for life’s biggest moments.
When not in the salon, Sheridan enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and two dogs, traveling up north to visit family, shopping, and making the most of the outdoors.

As a blonding and dimensional color specialist, Shelby is creative, has an eye for detail and loves considering different options for her client’s hair. Her passion is working closely with clients to create a customized look that fits their personal style and goals. Shelby also specializes in wedding and event hair and make-up in the salon and on location. Continuing education is what excites Shelby as she enjoys exploring new techniques and constantly growing within the ever-evolving beauty industry. Taking advanced classes has been a priority, such as Masters of Blonding, Masters of Balayage, Bellami extensions and Nova Lash to name a few. Shelby grew up in Falmouth and has lived in Southern Maine her whole life. When she is not working, she loves being outdoors, traveling, watching documentaries, spending time with her cats, crafts and other creative outlets.
We love having Shelby as part of our Scarborough location, she is a perfectionist at heart and is extremely talented, professional and kind! ❤️

Hayley is a results-driven aesthetician with eight years of experience rooted in medical spa and plastic surgery settings. Specializing in corrective skincare, preventative aging, SkinPen Microneedling, Diamond Glow facials, and medical-grade skincare, Hayley’s passion is getting to know her clients. She wants to understand each client’s lifestyle and goals to deliver the right treatment plan for each client while helping them feel relaxed, comfortable, cared for and confident. Hayley spent 2.5 years attending The University of Southern Maine when she then decided to pursue an education in aesthetics. She graduated from Spa Tech in 2018.
A lifelong Maine resident from Cape Elizabeth now living in an 1880s farmhouse in Gorham with her husband, two young children, and two dogs, Hayley values family most. Outside the treatment room, you’ll find her boating on Sebago Lake in summer, renovating their farmhouse, or spending time with her family and close friends.
We are thrilled to have Hayley join our Scarborough community, she brings extensive experience, knowledge and talent as well as a very sweet, genuine personality! ❤️

Travis Rideout Horner is now also accepting guests in Scarborough!
He is opening more time in his schedule and is working in both locations by adding his own private studio in Scarborough. Travis is a haircutting specialist who has dedicated countless hours learning the meticulous methods of the Vidal Sassoon ideology, an approach that has deeply influenced his precision and technical skills. Travis listens to his guests, gives them his guidance and tailors every style to each person, their hair and their lifestyle. He believes a great haircut should look good even on the laziest of days.
