Hi VANITY Fam! It’s been a long time! Although we’ve stepped back from socials, we’ve been in salon everyday-still making black girl magic happen. We’ve captured quite a bit of it and have lots to share, but for starters: Our contribution to this amazing story that shines a light on the underserved community of beauty and care in the NEPA region. Hi all!

While we adjust our salon to some of todays changes - both worldly, locally, and morally, we’ve taken a step back from social media to realign ourselves with a with a fresh perspective on the many ways in which we can improve.

Our purpose has always been to offer our talents of service to an underserved community, while standing as representation, and giving them a place to be proud of. With an outpouring response from our growing, and loving supporters, we began to move away from our mission in effort to fill the sometimes overwhelming need of immediate service. Sometimes, this spread us thin. Other times, it pushed our availability out of the bounds of convenience. Both times, we realized the impact, though greatly appreciated, was not in line with our mission.

With this resurgence to the social space, Koni sat down with NeighborWorks - to share our excitement on closing the purchase of the property in which VANITY exists, along with plans to expand our salon, staff, and services to re-aline with our purpose, and best cater to the needs of our community.

We thank all of our clients, old and new for your unwavering support! And, are so excited to take this step into advancement of a beautiful new salon space with you.

Weave With Frontal ✨ all of her actual hair is braided and protected underneath, as she’s treating her chemically damaged hair from a bad relaxer experience many years ago at another salon. She’ll revisit us every 2/3 weeks to have her hair washed, styled, and maintained.
