Lisa Boehm is a makeup artist and beauty stylist serving the greater Seattle area, Portland, and Vancouver. She has had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clients, from commercial projects with tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon, to music videos, to segments for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. In addition to her work in the film community, Lisa has been fortunate enough to work with many of the beautiful brides who have chosen to get married in the Pacific Northwest.

ON THE BLOG -> From NYC to the West Coast, Maria's Chic, Effortless and Minimalist Griffin House Wedding.
I love a fashion girly bride because the personalizations are always so delightful and surprising. For Maria's wedding at the Griffin House last summer, her three defining words were chic, effortless and minimalist. The way that those principles showed up were so, so good: Her full length dress altered to almost tea-length (but with the dramatic train in tact) allowing her platforms to be a feature; the single layer, micro blusher from ; all of the texture and nearly monochrome florals from ; and the incredibly clean and minimalist (but meticulous!) makeup paired with long, LUX, glossy mermaid waves.

I'm incapable of choosing favorite photos from Erin & Hannah's rainy June wedding. They were blessed with a historic rain storm on the day of their wedding, but it felt like nobody cared because the love and excitement were so much bigger than the rain storm.
We knew for a few weeks that it might rain on their day, and week-of the weather took a pretty decisive turn. They had already booked me for a few hours of touch ups, but after looking at the forecast they decided to book a few more. There is only so much magic and witchcraft that hairstylists can do--when curly hair gets wet, it breaks the hydrogen bonds created by curling irons, flat irons, and blow outs, and the hair reverts back to it's original texture. If there is rain in your wedding day forecast, please, please book your HMU artist to stay on and babysit the look! It's worth it.
