Hello!
Here's the latest information about the Studio re-opening. All currently scheduled clients will be rescheduled due to phase 2 being pushed back. I'm doing my best to keep clients in sequential order by contacting those who's appointments were cancelled closest to the quarantine. I'm asking for your patience in this re-booking process. I'll be working an expanded schedule and doing my very best to accommodate everyone. If you receive a message from me, please respond as soon as possible as I have a lot of people to re-book and appointment times will be filled fast. If you didn’t have a previously booked appointment, please call so we can get you set up.
Some other items of note are pertaining to everyone’s safety -
Please me know when you arrive prior to coming into the salon so I can let you know when to come in.
You will need to wear a mask before coming into and throughout your time in the salon. If you don't have a mask, I will supply you with one.
I will take your temperature upon arriving and if it is over 100.4 you will need to be rescheduled.
As soon as you come in, please go to the bathroom to wash your hands.
I won’t be able to serve beverages so please bring one with you if needed.
Magazines have been removed but feel free to bring reading material.
To keep everyone safe by sanitizing thoroughly, I will be booking 15-20 minutes to perform these necessary measures in between each client. This means that I will have reduced service density per day. Missing an appointment or arriving late effects both other clients waiting for an appointment as well as salon income. Consequentially, I’ll have to adhere to strict cancellation and late arrival policies.
With less than a 24 hour notice of cancellation, the cost of the service will be charged.
Please leave time for traffic and parking.
If you arrive up to 15 minutes late, I will do my best to complete as much of your service as practical and possible in the remaining time but I can’t guarantee the full service will be complete. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will be charged for the scheduled service have to be rescheduled so please leave time allowing for traffic and parking.
Thank you for your patience and I’m so looking forward to seeing you!
With the advent of Governor Inslee's extension of phase 2 for King Co., I will not be scheduling appointments until the new phase 2 date is announced. Even though I'm fully equipped and ready to go, following our Governor's guidelines are not optional and will be adhered to by my salon. Please reach out if you would like to be contacted when I'm able to schedule appointments. The best way to contact me is by calling the Studio at 206-633-4882. Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.
Like so many, I am currently waiting for Gov. Inslee's determination if King County is going to be starting phase 2 on June 1st as planned. For now, I am not going to be scheduling anymore appointments until this determination has been announced. Should phase 2 be delayed, currently scheduled will be contacted for rescheduling. When Phase 2 is determined, I will be scheduling new appointments. Please check back for more information.

Here's some info on phase 2 for hair salons, including Studio Jensen. Ready to start and fingers crossed for June 1st!
Salons race to get ready: what to expect when you get a haircut First, it was car washes, then curbside retail stores and restaurants. Now, new guidelines lay out a framework for how hair and nail salons and barbershops should prepare to open for business.
In re-opening with Washington States' phase 2 which at this time is set for June 1st, please take a moment to read the following protocols that will be in effect at the Studio. To add to the below, in following guidelines, please come in with freshly shampooed hair and while these guidelines are in effect, blow drying hair will also be foregone for now.
In my industry there are serious disinfectants that are effective against antibiotic resistant strains such as VRE, MRSA, CA-MRSA. Essentially, I have an arsenal of disinfectants on hand to use.
If you have an appointment and find you aren't feeling well, there will be NO cancellation fees in effect. Please, please cancel if you aren't feeling well.
When you arrive but prior to coming into the salon, please call to make sure that the previous client has left. This will make sure that there will be no more than one client at a time in the salon. I'll be booking extra time in between appointments so I can properly disinfect and sanitize the salon between clients.
I will be taking your temperature with an infrared, no contact forehead thermometer when you arrive. I'd rather give you a hug but we are living in strange times! (I'm taking my own temp several times a day as well.)
I'll be wearing a mask during your appointment (but just so you know, there'll be a big smile on my face under it!).
Dog treats (sorry Frodo!), magazines & candy dish (sorry humans) will be removed. The less to touch, the better.
Again, please come in with freshly shampooed hair. You are of course welcome to wear a mask and gloves during your visit.
I look forward seeing you soon!

Please take a look at the above in respect to what salons are doing to protect everyone's safety.
Hair salons will be different when they reopen: Here's what you should expect "Salons used to be super jumping and busy and clients on top of clients; there will be a major shift."
