These past two years have changed us all, but, I'm still here, folks! Stay tuned for a major surge of creative activity! I've been dabbling with the Cricut Maker 3 machine I was gifted this past Christmas.
Never thought I'd be into this kind of tool... That said, it is a fairly versatile little beastie.
Here's one project I worked on last week.

Okaaaay! I have begun to draft my first ever underbust corset! Let's see where this goes!

Hell-flippin'-low, me lovelies! How are you?
I am still recouping after a rather gruelling couple of months during which I dedicated a great deal of time and energy to become certified for my "day job". My energy has been up and down and all over the place ever since, hence why I have not posted much on this page.
The good news is, with the long weekend coming up, I plan to rest and to subsequently be prepared for the christening of my custom-made, full body French European dress form (scheduled to arrive sometime in June. Can't wait!)
In the interim, I have slowly been gathering together the necessary components for the construction of my very first corset endeavor! The bits and bobs of corset making are not cheap-nor are they particularly easy to find. Thank you "Foundations Revealed" for being an endless source of resources and inspiration to that end!
And, thanks to all of you for your continued interest in my little R'nM page! I have numerous projects planned for the summer, so I promise to make good on your curiosity soon. Until then, much love and warm wishes! Mmmmmmwah!

O.M.G.!!! It's done! I'm finally COVT certified!

I can barely contain myself! My final certification exam is in exactly 6 weeks and I have been procrastinating on reviewing all the materials I have to brush up on for said oral ordeal. But, now that I have sorted things out with Miss Scarlett I sooooo wanna get down to crafting this (first of undoubtedly many to come) corsetry projects! I may just have to play hookie here and there. Shhh!!!

Had fun making this for my son this Valentine's.

First time baking biscotti with this recipe and O.M.Gawd....they are soooo good!
If you want to make your own just do a search for "chocolate hazelnut biscotti" on the Martha Stewart website. I substituted organic cacao powder for Dutch-processed cocoa powder, blanched almonds for hazelnuts, and added dried sour cherries. Fabulous!

While you're waiting for me to show "my wares", here are a couple of pics of my new toys. The drawing in the background is a masters' reproduction my daughter had to do for school about five years ago. I used to draw like that. Time to get back at it.

So, I carve out a weekend to finally get into the corset training course I bought from Scarlett Sapsford at https://www.corsettraining.net - a course that came highly recommended - only to find that the links to both the course itself and the corset pattern bundle are no longer accessible 🤨
Let's hope Ms. Sapsford makes good on my purchase, coz I'm chomping at the bit here!

Got my multiple choice exam for the COVT certification process done today! Next big hurdle is the aural in Kansas City in April. In the interim, time to build some "stuff" in my new studio.
Been strongly feeling the desire to pick up the paint brush again. Man, it has been a while since I had that mojo pumping through my veins! Wonder what will pour out of me onto the canvas???
I'm gonna need a bigger studio! 💋
