Happy 9th birthday to my sweet Joaquin! Joaquin has grown so much this year! He has let go of fears, gained confidence, and I’m so proud of him! Joaquin is equally silly, and smart! Today marks 18 years since we lost my mom Mary. For those of you who knew her, I don’t even need to explain what an incredible woman she was. My mother was the most compassionate, kind, giving, and selfless person I have known. She made such an impact on people who had the privilege of being in her life. She volunteered her time for those in need, and cared so much for every single student she taught ESL to. She was the type of mom who took away all your worries with one of her giant hugs. My sisters and I hold on to the wisdom and unconditional love she gave us. My dad lives in gratitude everyday for the years they got to spend together. We all wish we could embrace her just one more time. I’m comforted that her memory will stay alive in so many people’s hearts that she touched. I love you Mama.❤️
